What Love's Abiding Joy Is About
Missie and Willie Lahaye have built their own homestead out west and their roots are there now. Missie is discovering that she wants to teach, while Willie looks after their small daughter Kathy and works to expand the ranch. Just as the railway reaches the town, Missie's father Clark makes the visit he has long promised. And in those same days Kathy dies. The death comes between the two of them. Willie accepts the job of town sheriff; Missie starts questioning her faith. Michael Landon Jr. directs, one instalment in the series adapted from Janette Oke's novels, with Erin Cottrell as Missie and Logan Bartholomew as Willie. It was made for television, a family drama that keeps religious faith at its centre.
