Mad_e in Bangladesh

A young man comes to Dhaka from the countryside. What he is after is a job and a better life. On the face of it he is quiet and passive, and that is how people around him see him. Finding work in the city does not go the way he thought, and the system teaches him its rules quickly. The film tells that process of adjustment somewhere between comedy and criticism. The account draws the man neither as a victim nor as a schemer. How a city changes a person sits at the centre of the story. The hundred and six minutes are given to that passage. Zahid Hasan and Shahiduzzaman Selim appear in Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s Bangladeshi film, completed in 2006.
