What Madea's Big Happy Family Is About

Shirley gets news from her doctor that is not good, and all she wants is her children in one room so she can tell them herself. Each of the three adults is buried in their own mess: one is wrecking a marriage, one is chasing money, one cannot sit still long enough to listen. So Madea takes over, and with Aunt Bam she gets the family around a table whether they want it or not. Adapted from Perry's own stage play: shouting, laughter, and a long reckoning at the end.
