Janiyah is raising a child alone when everything collapses on the same day: she loses her job, her daughter is taken, and the day turns into a bank siege. The title is the last straw. Tyler Perry wrote, produced and directed it. Taraji P. Henson leads, and that is where critics agreed: the performance is powerful and the pacing is not. Netflix released it on 6 June 2025 and it held second place in the United States for two consecutive weeks. Reviews split. Rotten Tomatoes has 55 percent of 29 critics positive, and Metacritic sits at 56 from seven reviews. At the 2026 NAACP Image Awards it won Outstanding Television Movie, with Henson winning in her category. Who it is for: anyone who wants to watch Henson, and viewers drawn to dramas about how far a system can squeeze a person. Who it is not for: those wanting a measured build. The film stacks catastrophes until credibility starts to strain.
