What Master of the Flying Guillotine Is About
The one-armed master is being hunted by a blind assassin whose two students he killed in the previous film. The assassin's weapon is the flying guillotine, a basket on a chain that takes the head off. When an invitation to a tournament arrives, staying hidden stops being possible. Jimmy Wang Yu directs and stars, and this sequel to One-Armed Boxer is a carnival of strangely gifted fighters. The way the opponents are drawn as national caricatures is uncomfortable now. Its soundtrack lifts German electronic tracks without permission, one of which later turned up in Kill Bill.
