Movie Crazy

Harold, who dreams of becoming an actor in Hollywood, sends an application to a studio. He puts the wrong photograph in the envelope, and precisely because of that he is called in for a screen test. He goes to Hollywood and manages to turn everything upside down once he gets there. It is one of Harold Lloyd's best works after the arrival of sound. The best known part of the film is his hero walking into a ball wearing a magician's coat by mistake and wrecking the evening with what keeps coming out of it. Directed by Clyde Bruckman, the picture shows how silent comedy could survive in the years sound arrived. The telling also makes fun of Hollywood itself. Constance Cummings plays opposite him.
