Mr. Angel

The documentary is about the life of Buck Angel, a trans man who works in the adult film industry. The film presents him as someone who opened a way in his own field and keeps the camera beside him at length. The account does not turn his transition into an object of curiosity; it gives his work, the people around him and how he describes himself. The film’s tone openly carries admiration and does not hide it; the judgement is the film’s. Names from the industry and from the community appear in the interviews. Its short length of sixty eight minutes makes it possible to stay with a single life. Dan Hunt’s American documentary was completed in 2013.
