Mr. Bharath

Gopinath is a man who wants to rise. Poverty is the obstacle in his way. He decides to marry a wealthy heiress. To do it he abandons the woman he first loved. Her name is Shanti. Shanti is left with a child. The boy is called Bharath. Being born outside marriage makes his start a hard one. Growing up, he sees what his mother goes through. The man gets rich while the two of them go without. Years pass and Bharath stands in front of him. What he wants is an accounting for what was done to his mother. The struggle between father and son is the spine of the film. The film is a remake of a Hindi picture. Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj appear in the hundred and forty six minute film, an Indian production S. P. Muthuraman finished in 1986.
