Murder Backstage

A theatre actress is murdered and the case falls to Becca, a well known policeman. A journalist joins the investigation and the two begin working together. The search goes on in the corridors and the space behind the stage. In a place where everyone has a part to play, working out who anyone really is becomes hard. The film sets a crime plot inside the language of the theatre; acting is both a trade and a matter for suspicion. It comes from the genre vein of Greek cinema of 1960. A journalist and a policeman working together gives the account two separate points of view. Alekos Alexandrakis and Titos Vandis appear in Dinos Katsouridis’s eighty three minute Greek film, completed in 1960.
