Detective Conan: Captured in Her Eyes

Ran witnesses a police officer being shot and loses her memory in the shock that follows. She has forgotten everyone, Shinichi included, and her own life along with them. The killer, meanwhile, is hunting the witness, so Conan has to solve the crime and protect a Ran who remembers nothing. This is the fourth film in the series, and what separates it is scale. There is no large bomb and no stadium crowd. The subject is the bond between two characters. Ran trusting Conan without knowing who he is becomes the emotional centre, and it works without ever opening the show's central secret. Kenji Kodama directed from a screenplay by Kazunari Kouchi, and it opened in Japan on 22 April 2000. Its flaw is the mystery itself, which sits below the series standard, with the culprit guessable early and the character relationships too dense for anyone who has not watched the show.
