What Lupin III: The First Is About
A famous thief goes after a notebook even his grandfather could not open. Another group is looking for the same book with different intentions. This is the first cinema film of the series made in 3D computer animation, with the character design trying to hold on to the drawn look. The narrative keeps the usual lightness of the series and puts the chases forward. Takashi Yamazaki wrote and directed. The voice cast is largely the same as the series. Who it's for: those who like classic adventure and heist films. Who it's not for: viewers expecting a continuation for fans; it works on its own.
