Night Fun

A saxophonist past fifty-five, once the evening set at the restaurant is over, takes out the money he has earned and dials the telephone numbers written on the banknotes, then talks at length with people he has never met. One night the habit puts him through to Olga, a young woman who has just seen her mother with her lover. That call sets off a family drama, and the rest of the night walks straight at what everyone has been keeping quiet. Vladimir Krasnopolsky and Valery Uskov directed it together; the record lists only Krasnopolsky and the second director does not appear at all. Viktor and Maria Merezhko wrote the screenplay and Mikael Tariverdiev the score. Yevgeny Yevstigneyev leads, with Irina Alferova, Albert Filozov and Valentin Gaft. The single sentence in the record says nothing about what the film is actually about.
