Night Shift

Pierre works in a bottle factory. He decides to move from the day shift to the night shift. On the new team is a man called Fred, someone who draws people around him and turns violent. Fred says loudly, so everyone can hear, that Pierre is his boyfriend. It is not true; he uses it to humiliate him. What looks at first like a joke turns into constant harassment. As the shifts go on it gets heavier and Pierre is left alone. The film shows workplace bullying step by step, and it does not treat the lie itself as the shameful part. Gérald Laroche and Marc Barbé appear in Philippe Le Guay’s French film of 2001.
