Ani I. V. Sasi's 2021 Telugu film is set in London. Dev, a cook, lives with muscle spasms; he is good in a kitchen and rather less good at arranging his own life. His relationships with two women give the film its frame. The narrative follows the romantic comedy form but puts Dev's condition inside the story rather than hiding it, and cooking scenes take wide space. Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma and Nithya Menen appear. The film was shot in Telugu and Malayalam together. The tone is light and quick. Who it's for: those who like light romantic comedy and stories built around food. Who it's not for: viewers expecting a deep relationship drama; the film puts its weight on comedy.
