What Old-Timers Is About
Vlasta and Tonda do not have much life left. Even so, there is one job in front of them. They want to find and kill the communist prosecutor who sent them to prison in the fifties. They set out to do it, and age, illness and distance stop none of it. The film moves in the shape of a road story, but it is not the usual road movie. The account neither approves the revenge nor waters it down. Two former political prisoners looking for justice sits at the centre of the story. The eighty five minutes are given to a single journey. Jiří Schmitzer and Ladislav Mrkvička appear in the film by Martin Dušek and Ondřej Provazník, a joint Czech and Slovak production, completed in 2019.
