Omnipresent

Emil is a copywriter who owns his own advertising agency. Watching his family, his friends and his employees through hidden cameras slowly turns into an obsession. What looks at first like harmless curiosity becomes a disaster once he begins to use the power it gives him, and he comes to understand that some truths would be better left covered. The film does not present surveillance as a technical accomplishment; it looks at what watching does to the watcher. The account sets the camera footage inside the film itself, so that the viewer falls into the same position. What Emil cannot see matters as much as what he can. Velislav Pavlov plays the lead in Ilian Djevelekov’s hundred and twenty minute Bulgarian film, completed in 2017.
