Baltimore Beltrán What One for the Road Is About
Three friends past their eighties set out on a journey to carry out the last wish of a fourth, a friend of a lifetime. Their families are against it, their age is against it and the car is old. They go anyway. On the road they get lost, forget their medication, meet people they do not know, and say things to each other they have not said in years. Jack Zagha Kababie's Mexican film stars José Carlos Ruiz, Eduardo Manzano and Luis Bayardo. It handles old age without asking for pity and without smoothing any of the three men out. Inside the shape of a road movie it fits friendship and death.
