Only God Sees Me

Albert is a sound engineer and he cannot make up his mind about anything in his life: which job to take, where to live, who to love. He meets three women one after another. All three are unlike each other and all three push Albert off his own path. Albert has to choose, and choosing is the thing he is worst at. Denis Podalydès plays the lead in his brother Bruno Podalydès's film; the two went on working together. Jeanne Balibar is also in the cast. The humour does not shout, it sits in the detail: a sentence left unfinished, a phone not answered, being late for an appointment. The film finds its hero funny but does not make fun of him.
