Only the Young

The documentary follows the daily life of three young people. The place is a small town in Southern California. There is little work and little to do around it. Empty houses and dried out swimming pools catch the eye. Kevin and Garrison have been friends since childhood. Both of them skate. The empty pools become their ground. The two of them also have a faith. They go to church and try to live by it. Skye is a girl from the same circle. Things get tangled among the three of them. Love and friendship are tested for the first time. The camera watches without stepping in. Elizabeth Mims and Jason Tippet directed the seventy two minute documentary. The American production was finished in 2012.
