Surender Reddy's 2011 Telugu film follows a young man who will do any job for money. Tony appears indifferent and self-interested, but behind his behaviour lies an account to settle over the killing of a woman named Niharika's family. The structure rests on the hero concealing his real purpose for a long time. That template is used often in Telugu cinema and works predictably here; the surprise is for the characters inside the film rather than for the audience. NTR Jr. leads, and the physical action and dance sequences supply the commercial side. Tamannaah takes the woman's role. What drew most criticism is that the relationship with her advances through persistence and harassment. Who it's for: those who like Telugu action cinema and NTR Jr.'s films. Who it's not for: viewers troubled by persistent pursuit of a woman being presented as romantic.
