What Partly Sunny Is About
Two friends in a bar try an old trick to get to the woman they like: one goes over and tells her the other is terminally ill. It works. But two women end up involved and the lie grows. The four of them go away together for a weekend. As the closeness built on that lie turns into something real, nobody can step back from it. The lie coming out is a matter of time and everybody knows it. Marco Petry directs this German comedy, with Max Riemelt, Anna Fischer, Jessica Schwarz and Elyas M'Barek. A hundred minutes. It moves back and forth between comedy and drama, which is what the title says: somewhere between clear and cloudy.
