What Pat & Mat in a Movie Is About
The two heroes of a Czech animated series that has run for many years appear this time in a feature length film. Both of them love doing repairs at home and always solve the simplest task by the most roundabout route; the result usually turns out other than they expected. In this film boxes found in the attic and a projector under the stairs open the story; then they set about improving the house again with inventions of their own. The account uses no speech; everything is told through movement, sound and objects. It was made by animating puppets frame by frame. Marek Benes’s eighty minute Czech animated film was completed in 2016.
