A twenty year old enters a rehabilitation centre after an accident, unable to move most of his body. He will be there for months. The film does not build recovery as a miracle; the narrative gives its weight to time in the room, to the other patients, and to small gains. Humour takes the place of pity, and that is what separates it from others of its kind. Grand Corps Malade and Mehdi Idir directed together; the story follows Grand Corps Malade's own experience after his accident and is adapted from his book.
