Paweł & Gaweł

Paweł and Gaweł are two neighbours. Their names resemble each other. The paths of the two of them cross with Violetta. Violetta is a young woman who plays the violin. But she passes herself off as a child. That pretence works for a while. Then Paweł learns the truth. He understands that she is no longer a child. At that point he falls in love with her. Violetta feels the same. The account is built on that misunderstanding. The film is put together as a comedy. The work is a literary adaptation. Eugeniusz Bodo and Adolf Dymsza take the leads, with Helena Grossówna and Józef Orwid also in the cast, in Mieczysław Krawicz’s Polish film of 1938.
