Peace After Marriage

Arafat was born and raised in New York. His family is of Palestinian origin. He is a lonely and unhappy young man. He badly wants to be close to someone. One day he meets a young woman. She is Israeli and wants to stay in the country. For that she needs a Green Card. The way she comes up with is a marriage on paper. Arafat accepts the offer. The two of them marry in name. The business does not end with the paperwork, though. Both families get involved. Traditions and expectations come up against each other. The two of them have to look again at their own cultures. Hiam Abbass and Ghazi Albuliwi appear in the eighty six minute film, an Israeli, Jordanian and American co-production Ghazi Albuliwi and Bandar Albuliwi finished in 2013.
