Seven old friends meet for dinner. Three couples and one who comes alone. There is an eclipse of the moon and the weather is warm. The host proposes a game: everyone will put their phone on the table and every message, call and notification through the evening will be opened in front of everyone. It is said that nobody has anything to hide. The game begins. The first hour passes without trouble. Then a message comes and the table changes. Manolo Caro directs. The film is a remake of an Italian production from 2016; the original was adapted in many countries and this became one of the most watched versions. The structure is entirely in one setting; the narrative never leaves the dinner table and runs close to real time. The matter it builds is privacy; the film treats the phone as a record of a person. The Mexican version carries some strands into a local context and the dialogue was rewritten. Its best side is the acting; a cast of seven shares the scene and nobody comes forward. The ending makes a choice, and it is the same choice as the original. Who it is for: viewers who like relationship drama in a single setting. Who it is not for: the plot is a repetition of a known text, there are many characters, and the ending is contested.
