Phantom Owl Forest

Eia is a girl of ten. She had plans for the Christmas holiday. But she has to spend it somewhere else. Where she goes is a farm in southern Estonia. The farm is called Phantom Owl. The place strikes her as mysterious. There she runs into one thing after another. Behind the farm stands an old forest. A forest manager wants it cut down. Eia sets out to save the forest. Along the way she learns a great secret about her family. Her arrival also helps two young people find each other. The film joins a Christmas story to the protection of nature. Paula Rits and Siim Oskar Ots take the leads in Anu Aun’s Estonian film of 2018.
