What Pie in the Sky: The Brigid Berlin Story Is About
The documentary is about the American artist Brigid Berlin. In the sixties Berlin was one of the known names around Andy Warhol. The film gives both her work of that period and the life she went on living afterwards. The tapes she recorded herself and her photographs make up a good part of the account. Her years of struggle with her body and with eating are among the subjects too; the account does not make a joke of it and leaves it as she tells it. What it means to come from a wealthy family and land in the middle of an art world lies underneath. Bob Colacello, Taylor Mead and Paul Morrissey are among those speaking. The seventy five minute American documentary by Shelly Dunn Fremont and Vincent Fremont was completed in 2000.
