Project Iceman

Ammar Kandil's 2022 documentary follows an attempt at a long-distance triathlon in Antarctica. Anders Hofman gave years to the preparation. The documentary puts its weight on that preparation. Finding sponsors, building the logistics and convincing the team take longer than the race itself; the narrative frames it as a success story and leaves little room for doubt. The footage was taken in glacial conditions. The tone is motivational and the music heavy. The documentary was produced from within Hofman's own circle. Who it's for: those who like endurance sport and adventure documentary. Who it's not for: viewers expecting a critical view; the documentary stands beside its subject.
