Queenie in Love

Queenie is twenty four. She would rather live in the East Village in Manhattan than at her parents’ large house in Westchester. She is a prankster and an odd one. She plays tricks on everybody. She earns her living as a social worker with children. She is also trying to act, though the doors stay shut. Horace is a retired policeman. He is past middle age, and his doctor has told him he has a few months left. After that news he starts seeing a therapist. He is looking for some meaning in his life. His path crosses Queenie’s around then. She takes him along and pulls him around the city. The two of them get to know each other slowly. The years between them do not get in the way. The film is an odd love story set in New York. It is also about the right to be who you are. Victor Argo and Valerie Geffner appear in the hundred and three minute film, a French production Amos Kollek finished in 2001.
