Red Lights

Antoine and Hélène set off to collect their children from summer camp. The drive is long, the traffic is heavy, and Antoine has one more drink at every stop. As the tension with his wife grows, the man behind the wheel becomes someone else. At one of the stops Hélène gets out of the car and does not come back. After that night his journey turns into something entirely different. Cédric Kahn adapted the film from a Georges Simenon novel. Jean-Pierre Darroussin plays Antoine and Carole Bouquet plays Hélène. The dread does not come from a manufactured threat but from one man's anger and his drinking.
