What Red Riding: The Year of Our Lord 1980 Is About
After six years of killings, the West Yorkshire police fear they may already have interviewed the Ripper and then let him go. Peter Hunter, an assistant chief constable brought in from Manchester, is told to review the investigation and find what was missed. But Hunter has his own history in Yorkshire, and an old case he lost there is still waiting for him. Directed by James Marsh from David Peace’s novel, this is the second part of the trilogy. It is less a serial killer story than an account of a police force meeting its own corruption. Paddy Considine plays Hunter.
