What Rock-a-Bye Baby Is About
Clayton, a television repairman, hears from the girl he loved before she left town and became a film star: she has given birth in secret and needs someone to look after the triplets so her career does not suffer. The job falls to Clayton, alone with three babies. This Jerry Lewis comedy, directed by Frank Tashlin, works on cartoon logic, and Tashlin really did come from animation, which shows. The story is taken from Preston Sturges's The Miracle of Morgan's Creek, with the scandal softened into baby minding farce.
