What Romeos Is About
Lukas is twenty, a trans man in the middle of transition. Doing his civil service in Cologne he keeps ending up in the wrong places, the women's quarters and other uncomfortable positions. His friend Ine introduces him to the city's gay scene, where he meets Fabio, and the relationship becomes a hard test for both of them. The film turns the subject into neither tragedy nor a lesson and keeps its humour. That Lukas is played by an actor who is not trans was discussed afterwards. Our Turkish field is untranslated.
