Rosie

Rosie is thirteen. She is brought into a juvenile institution. They ask her questions there. She says she has no parents. She has an older sister named Irene. Irene is twenty seven. Rosie knows the truth. Irene is in fact her mother. That is a secret between the two of them. Irene’s brother Michel comes to stay. Michel is out of work and gambles. Then Irene meets a man. His name is Bernard. Rosie is left in the background. She puts all her hopes into another young person. Into Jimi, a boy she sees on a bus. The story is told in flashbacks. Aranka Coppens and Sara De Roo appear in the ninety seven minute film, a Belgian and French production Patrice Toye finished in 1998.
