What Rumble Is About
Four middle aged men are driving around the Finnish countryside in a red Cadillac. All of them have stayed loyal to the rock and rockabilly culture of the fifties and have not given up their youth. The journey has no destination; they drink, they listen to old records and they try to find pizza along the road, even attempting to have it delivered to the moving car. Neither a Russian lorry driver nor the police can stop this outing. Into fifty five minutes the film fits one summer day and the friendship of four men. Vesa-Matti Loiri and Tommi Korpela appear in Jani Volanen’s Finnish film, completed in 2002.
