S.O.S. Iceberg

A party went to the polar region a year earlier. No word came back from them. Now a new team sets out to look for them. The search takes place off the coast of Greenland. One of the missing men is found. He is stranded on an iceberg. The iceberg is slowly melting. The rescue team reaches him. The team is left on the same ice, though. A woman tries to come to their help by plane. Her aircraft goes down in the icy water. Polar bears are moving about around them. There is nothing left to do but wait. The film was inspired by a real polar expedition. Gustav Diessl and Leni Riefenstahl appear in the eighty seven minute film, a German production Arnold Fanck finished in 1933.
