The film tells what happened to seventeen Georgian soldiers killed in the fighting near the village of Shindisi during the war between Russia and Georgia in 2008. The unit loses its way while withdrawing and ends up among the villagers; who goes where, who hides and who informs is settled within hours. The account gives the war not from a map but from inside a village: doors, barns, fields and waiting families. The script rests on real events, and some of the soldiers in the film are played by actual soldiers. Dato Bakhtadze appears in Dito Tsintsadze’s hundred and five minute Georgian film; it was completed in 2019.
