School Trip

A Berlin school class goes for a week to the Polish Baltic coast. It is out of season, the resort is empty and there is not much to do. The days pass in table tennis, short outings and drinking. Something starts between sixteen year old Ronny and his classmate Isa. One night at a disco they meet a Polish boy called Marek. Ronny soon notices that Marek’s interest is in Isa. When Isa goes back to the hotel the two boys are left alone and Ronny puts a dare to him. It ends badly, and Ronny neither calls for help nor manages to say what happened. This eighty nine minute German and Polish coproduction is Henner Winckler’s first feature, from the first half of the two thousands.
