The direct to video horror boom of the 1980s turned three performers into cult names very quickly. Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens and Michelle Bauer moved from modelling into B pictures and headlined as many as ten films a year. Jason Paul Collum's documentary tells that period largely in their own words: the men in rubber monster suits, the same scenes over and over, the convention circuit, the small empires built around signed cards and comic books, and then the work stopping almost all at once. The directors and producers they worked with most often speak too. The honest thing about the film is that the actresses themselves explain how much intelligence it took to play stupid.
