Searching for a Scandal

Magdy leaves Upper Egypt for the city to work. There he becomes friends with a man called Sami. Sami boasts of his many relationships and Magdy is impressed by it. One day Magdy meets Hanan by chance. He asks Sami to help him get close to her. Sami takes the job on gladly and passes on his own experience. From there the account moves through the relations between the three of them. Magdy’s effort to get used to the city is part of the story too. The film builds it as a comedy. Youssef Wahby is also in the cast. Adel Emam and Mervat Amin take the leads in Niazi Mostafa’s Egyptian film of 1973.
