Secret

Heisuke's wife and daughter are in a bus crash. The wife dies; the daughter wakes up in hospital. But the child who wakes up starts recounting his wife's memories in her own voice, and his life goes somewhere else entirely. His wife has come back inside his daughter's body, neither of them can tell anyone, and neither has any idea how to live with it. Adapted from Keigo Higashino's novel, with Yojiro Takita treating the fantastical premise entirely as domestic drama. The subject is not the supernatural event but two people who no longer know what they are to each other: father or husband, daughter or wife. Ryoko Hirosue carries the double role by herself.
