Selam: Bahara Yolculuk

Ismail is a young teacher. He has a comfortable life in Turkey. The idea of opening a school abroad stays with him. He decides to go to Kyrgyzstan. He leaves behind his family and the order he is used to. The language and the habits there are different. Opening a school is harder than he thought. Permits and a building take a long time. He has to build a relation with the local people. In time he earns their trust. A bond forms between him and his students. Teaching alone is not enough. He enters their lives as well. The film draws on a true story. The account rests on the feeling of being far from home. Aslıhan Güner and Gürol Güngör appear in the one hundred twenty six minute film, a Turkish production Hamdi Alkan finished in 2015.
