What Simon Magus Is About

Simon is a man pushed outside his own Jewish community. He says the devil talks to him and that he can put curses on crops. Because of it everyone keeps away from him. In the same village Dovid wants to buy land to build a railway station. A ruthless businessman from the neighbouring community means to stop it. He uses Simon to find out who wants to buy the land. So a man who has been cast out becomes an instrument between two sides. The film stands between folk tale and realism.
