Fog and Night

Sedat works for the intelligence service. The work has closed him in on himself. He is no talker and cannot say what he feels. He is married with two children. He is also in a secret relationship with Mine, the daughter of a neighbour. Mine is an art student. She is the one thing holding him to life. Some time before, his superior Yıldırım was killed. Sedat was attached to him like a brother. He could not solve the murder and his conscience will not let it go. He believes Yıldırım was killed from inside the service, and that his own loyalty is why he has been pushed aside. Then Mine disappears, and in looking for her he does not shrink from the dirtiest methods his profession allows. The account comes from Ahmet Ümit’s novel of the same name, with Uğur Polat and Selma Ergeç in the ninety minute film, a Turkish production Turgut Yasalar finished in 2007.
