Sisu: Road to Revenge

The sequel to Jalmari Helander's Sisu (2022). Aatami Korpi still does not speak and still does not die. The subject this time is a house: Korpi goes to dismantle the home where his family were killed during the war, in order to rebuild it somewhere else. As he hauls it away piece by piece on the back of a truck, the Red Army commander who killed them picks up his trail, and a chase across the country begins. The film is broken into chapters and has no interest in physics; several critics compared it to a live-action Looney Tunes short. That is not an accusation, it is the film's own rule. Jorma Tommila returns as Korpi, joined by Stephen Lang and Richard Brake. It runs 89 minutes and opened on 21 November 2025. Who it is for: viewers who liked the first film and enjoy near-wordless, wildly exaggerated violence. Who it is not for: anyone looking for logic. There is no character depth and no limit to what Korpi survives; the first film surprised because it did this once, and here it is simply the expectation.
