...So Goes the Nation

The documentary looks at the American presidential election of 2004. At its centre is a single state. That state is Ohio. Ohio was among the most important undecided states that year. Both campaigns had to win it. The directors filmed the last fifteen days before the vote. They went from one end of the state to the other. The camera sits down with Republican and Democratic strategists alike. Volunteers speak too. People going door to door appear on screen. The subject is organisation on the ground. Which issue to push forward is a calculation of its own. The film lets both sides speak in their own words. In the end whoever won Ohio won the election. The ninety minute documentary carries the signatures of James D. Stern and Adam Del Deo, an American production finished in 2006.
