What Space Station 3D Is About
The International Space Station orbits some three hundred and fifty kilometres above the Earth, built jointly by sixteen countries. At the time it was still unfinished. This IMAX documentary shows the construction from inside: modules joined together in orbit, spacewalks, ordinary life in weightlessness. Some of the footage was shot by the astronauts themselves. The journey starts from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Russia. Toni Myers directs; it was IMAX's first three-dimensional film shot in space. It runs forty-seven minutes. Tom Cruise narrates. What it really shows is not the view but the people working in it.
