Speed & Angels

Jay and Meagan are young officers in the navy. Both have a dream left over from childhood. They want to be naval aviators. The aircraft they want to fly is the F-14 Tomcat. The documentary follows two and a half years. The training begins in the Nevada desert. Air combat exercises are flown there. Then comes landing on a ship. Night landings are attempted in the Atlantic. These are among the hardest parts of the work. The real test waits at the end, though. Both of them are sent to a war zone. The place they go is Iraq. Jay Consalvi and Meagan Varley appear in the ninety five minute documentary, an American production Peyton Wilson finished in 2008.
