That Lovely Green Grass

Misu is spending the summer holiday in Budapest. The place they live in is an old block of flats. Poldi, the caretaker of the building, is about to retire. The man is a gardener who worked in the parks. He cannot imagine a life after work without grass and trees. Misu sees this and comes up with an idea. He decides to lay turf in the courtyard of the block. It is not a job for one person. The boy starts gathering allies. The dustman and the coal man join in. There is also Piroska, a girl there on holiday. But someone in the building is against it. Kamilla, who works in insurance, is the one who has to be won over. János Rajz and Mónika Ullmann appear in the eighty one minute film, a Hungarian production György Palásthy finished in 1979.
